What I build at DittoUp

DittoUp is a talent marketplace where members prove each skill on video. My work sits in the backend path from raw job data to a match a candidate can act on.

  1. Bring the jobs in

    Daily imports pull postings from several sources. Each posting is normalized into one shape and deduplicated before it is saved, so the same job never shows up twice.

  2. Serve the pages

    Django views, URL routing, REST APIs and ORM data models behind thousands of job and candidate pages, with SQL tuned for validation and QA.

  3. Match people to work

    I integrated the candidate-job matching engine as a REST microservice. It combines weighted scoring with LLM reranking, and moving it behind a service boundary replaced tangled in-app logic.

  4. Understand the candidate

    An Exa.ai integration reads candidate portfolios, parses resumes and runs a daily job search for each profile. I also shipped video-based skill verification (VBQ).

  5. Make it findable

    I implemented AI-search and SEO indexing for VBQ and term pages, and evaluated an AI stack for SEO optimization. I designed the user flow, candidate settings and VBQ screens with Lovable, an AI app builder, and shipped them with jQuery and AJAX.
